This policy covers the Build vs. Buy Assessment tool at assessment.fabriklabs.co specifically — what we collect when you take the assessment, where it goes, and what your options are. It's separate from the general Fabrik Labs privacy policy at fabriklabs.co, since this tool collects information that our main marketing site does not.
What we collect
When you complete the assessment, we collect your answers to all 21 questions — including your name, email address, and organization name, along with details about your organization type, sector, size, software need, budget, and any free-text descriptions you provide. We also record basic usage events (like when you start the assessment or move between steps) tied to an anonymous session identifier, to help us understand where people run into trouble in the form.
Where it's stored
Your responses and the generated report are stored in our Supabase database. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere until you submit the completed assessment — your in-progress answers stay in your browser until then.
Who we share it with
- Anthropic — your responses are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your personalized report.
- Resend — used to email your report and, if requested, notify our team of your submission.
- HubSpot — if you request a free consultation, or depending on your answer below, we may create or update a contact record in our HubSpot CRM so we can follow up.
About the marketing emails question
Near the end of the assessment we ask whether we can send you occasional emails with technology guidance. Your report is emailed to you either way — this question only affects whether we may follow up separately with additional content down the road. Opting in records your consent; it doesn't sign you up for an automated newsletter today, since we haven't built that yet.
